More Info about the second edition

The second edition has been completely revised and updated based on feedback from users in the field, including experience from cooler climates and European Emergencies. It includes all the key features of the first edition, in particular the coverage of both technical topics such as water and sanitation as well as managerial skills and personal effectives.

The second edition features:

About the Authors

Jan Davis is a chartered engineer with experience in both emergency relief and long-term development. He has worked in the NGO sector as an emergency water engineer and for RedR as Senior Training Officer. Jan currently works as a freelance consultant and trainer.

Robert Lambert is Director of RedR. An engineer with over 15 years' experience in Africa and elsewhere, he has extensive experience in selecting, preparing, training and debriefing a wide range of professionals for humanitarian relief work.
