Vaccinations for relief workers
The vaccinations you require for any assignment will depend on a number of factors including: the vaccinations you have already had; the immunities you have already from past illnesses; the country you will be visiting and the region you will be working in; the work you will be doing; and the time you will be spending there.
You should seek advice from a doctor or other health professional to decide which vaccinations you require either for a particular assignment or in anticipation of being asked to leave on a future assignment at very short notice.
Useful additional information is available on the World Health Organisation site under in their international travel and health section.
Remember
Some courses of injections have to be taken over a period of months while others cannot be given at the same time as each other, so they can not always all be done at the same time at the last moment!
It is condition of some
insurance policies that you to take all necessary precautions including vaccinations.
